Energy Minister supports new five-year plan

The Minister for Energy has backed the Government's new five year plan to get the economy back on track.

Eamon Ryan said he agrees with the decision to address the country's financial difficulties over five years instead of three.

The measures were announced last night as part of the Government's revised economic forecast, which confirmed it will take at least €16bn in spending cuts to get the country's economy out of its current decline.
