Education Minister Batt O'Keeffe has launched the latest phase of the Government's initiative to promote research and development projects in Irish colleges and universities.

Mr O'Keeffe says he expects around €300m of taxpayers' money to be granted to various projects over the course of the next five years as part of the Programme for Research in Third-Level Institutions.
