Search mounted for French tourist missing in Mourne Mountains

A French tourist has gone missing while walking in the Mourne Mountains, police said today.

The man failed to return to his Newcastle hotel after going out walking in the mountains in Co Down late on Sunday.

The Irish Coastguard sent a helicopter to the area and the Fire and Rescue Service is using specialist equipment in an attempt to locate the man.
