Call for probe into level of female garda resignations
Sinn Féin has called on the Government to investigate the high rate of women resigning from the Garda Síochána.
A total of 48 women have resigned from the force over the last five years.
Female members currently make up around 21% of the total number of gardaí in the country.
However, Sinn Féin's Aonghus O'Snódaigh said the percentage of women stepping down is still too high and the reasons behind their resignations need to be addressed.
