Public urged to use bring banks

Pro-recycling organisation Rehab Recycle has called on the public to do their bit to help recycle reusable materials from Christmas.

Nearly 90 million bottles and cans of alcohol are consumed in Ireland over the festive season, making it the busiest time of year for the organisation.

The group is urging the public to deposit all their glass to their local bring bank and reminding people that just one recycled glass bottle saves enough energy to power a computer for 25 minutes.
