PSNI investigate assault on teenage girl

Police in the North have appealed for information after a 14-year-old girl was assaulted in Derry.

The incident happened in the early hours of this morning, when the girl was approached by a man as she was walking through an alley between Creggan Heights and Rathmore.

He is believed to be in his forties, around 5 ft 8 inches in height and of thin build and was wearing a dark hooded top.

The PSNI have urged anyone with any information to come forward.
