Hunt for man who indecently assaulted 14-year-old girl
A 14-year-old girl has been indecently assaulted in Derry, police said today.
The incident happened at about 2am on Tuesday in the Creggan area.
She was returning home after a night out in the city centre and as she took a shortcut through an alley between Creggan Heights and Rathmore, a man started to call to her.
He called her ’Sarah’ and when she said that was not her name pushed her against a fence and touched her on the leg. The girl broke free and made her way home.
The suspect is in his 40s, about 5ft 8in tall and of a thin build. He was wearing a dark hooded top.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police at Strand Road, Derry.
