Gardaí keeping open mind about Kilkenny fire
Gardaí say they are keeping an open mind about the cause of a house fire that claimed the life of a mother and her two young daughters in Co Kilkenny.
Thirty-year-old Sharon Whelan and her two daughters were found dead at their home in Windgap, near Callan, at around 9am on Christmas morning.
Post mortem examinations have been carried out on the bodies, but the results have not been disclosed.
The fire was initially believed to be a tragic accident, but gardaí now say they are keeping an open mind about what may have caused the blaze.
