Two detained over killing of Newry pensioner
Police in the North are continuing to detain two people in relation to the murder of an elderly woman in Co Down.
81-year-old Maire Rankin was found dead in her home in Newry on Christmas morning, She had suffered multiple injuries.
Police are questioning a man and a woman who they say were known to the victim, but not related to her.
Robbery has been ruled out as a motive for the killing.
