Husband to be charged over Cawley murder
The husband of businesswoman Celine Cawley is today expected to be charged in connection with her death.
Advertising executive Eamon Lillis, who is aged in his early 50s, will appear at Dublin District Court this morning.
Mr Lillis was arrested on Saturday under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act and questioned by detectives at Clontarf Garda Station.
Mother-of-one Ms Cawley was found with serious head injuries on the patio of her Howth home a week ago.
Ms Cawley, aged 46, was well known in media and advertising circles in Ireland after building her Toytown Films company into one of the country’s highest-profile production houses.
Set up in 1990 by Ms Cawley, Toytown has worked with a variety of advertising agencies and had clients such as Diageo, Coca-Cola, Heineken, the National Lottery, O2 and Carlsberg.
Forensic tests are still being carried out on Ms Cawley’s body.
