Crime Victims Helpline open over Christmas

The Crime Victims Helpline is reminding the public that its lines are open over the entire Christmas period.

The Crime Victims Helpline is reminding the public that its lines are open over the entire Christmas period.

It provides advice and support, as well as information on the justice system.

Trained volunteers are waiting to answer calls between 2pm and 4 pm each day over Christmas.

<p> Volunteers attending the DMax 7.7 fitness event, in honour of Darragh McCarthy, who tragically passed away last year at just 21 years of age. The sold-out fitness event saw over 300 competitors take on DMax 7.7 featuring seven fitness stations, lasting seven minutes per station with a two minute transition between station. Competitors entered in teams of two and tested their strength, endurance and mental resilience across a series of challenges including rope skipping, ski-erg, medicine ball, assault bike, rowing, burpee box jumps and wall balls.
