Man killed in Leitrim crash

A 36-year-old man is dead following a crash in Co Leitrim this morning.

It happened at Bornacoola near Carrick-on-Shannon shortly before 8.30am. The man was the only person in the 4x4 jeep.

No other vehicle involved. His body was removed to the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar.

Gardaí in Longford town are investigating.
