Wicklow actor jailed for assault

A Wicklow actor has to present himself in January to begin a four-year sentence for an assault on a victim who developed a blood clot on his brain after hitting his head and subsequently died.

Darren Healy (aged 29), of The Cottage, Killegar, Enniskerry pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court last year to assaulting Mr Philip Bryan causing him harm at Eamon Doran’s Pub in Temple Bar on June 10, 2005.
