Dáil warned national pay deal may need review

The Government may be forced to review the national pay deal in the New Year as it grapples with shrinking public finances, the Taoiseach told the Dáil.

The agreement brokered between employers and unions in September offered staggered wage rises of 6% over 21 months for public and private workers.
