Hospital bosses deny A&E chaos
Bosses at the Mercy Hospital in Cork city have hit back at claims that it's new A&E unit is descending into chaos.
The Irish Nurses Organisation claimed that nurses are struggling to cope with the volume of people coming through the unit.
The facility partly opened earlier this month after lying idle for 20 months because of a row with the HSE over staffing levels.
Managment say they expected that there would be a surge in the early days of the facility and have deployed additional staff and made more beds available.
