French Embassy staff go on strike in pay dispute

Staff at the French Embassy in Dublin are going on strike today as part of a pay dispute with the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

More than 15 employees are taking part in the action, forcing the closure of the embassy's consular section.

The workers say their pay does not take into account the high cost of living in the city and are calling for it to be increased in line with inflation.
