Woman dies after being hit by car in Co Kerry

A pedestrian in her 40s has died after being hit by a car on the N69 in Co Kerry yesterday evening.

The accident happened just after 5pm at Kilflynn Cross.

The road is still closed this morning and is expected to remain so until the afternoon.

Motorists are being diverted on to other routes.
