The North’s potential to produce green energy from offshore wind and tidal power took an important step forward today.

Energy Minister Arlene Foster appointed a major UK consultancy company – Faber Maunsell – to undertake a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) of offshore wind and marine renewables in North waters.
