Baby injured in burglary in the North
An eight-month-old baby boy was injured after assailants broke into his house in the North, it was revealed today.
The child was taken to hospital with bruising to the head while his mother suffered a fractured wrist and a man, who is not the boy’s father, sustained head and hand injuries.
No motive has been established for the incident in Bloomfield Parade, in east Belfast, at around 11.30pm last night.
Police said three men wearing black balaclavas forced their way inside the property. Officers appealed for anybody with information to contact them.
