Mortgage borrowing hit its lowest growth rate since 1986 in October.

Mortgage borrowing hit its lowest growth rate since 1986 in October.

The latest figures from the Central Bank show that there was a net increase of €26m in borrowing in the month of October this year, compared with the same month last year. That is a 7.6% increase, which is considered low.
