Woman questioned in shooting probe released

A 32-year-old woman arrested today over the shooting dead of a man in west Dublin has been released without charge.

A 32-year-old woman arrested today over the shooting dead of a man in west Dublin has been released without charge.

She was one of three people being questioned over the killing of Richard McCormack, 29, at St Ronan’s Close in Clondalkin on March 8.

A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Two men aged 34 and 21 remained in custody tonight.

The trio were detained at Ronanstown this morning and brought to Ronanstown and Clondalkin Garda stations.

Investigating officers have renewed their appeal for information over the killing.

Mr McCormack was shot a number of times and was pronounced dead on arrival at Tallaght Hospital.
