A Dublin man was charged with possession of two shotgun cartridges at the Special Criminal Court today.

A Dublin man was charged with possession of two shotgun cartridges at the Special Criminal Court today.

Noel Mooney (aged 29) , of Leo Fitzgerald House, Dublin 2 was charged with the unlawful possession of two shotgun cartridges at waste ground at Sean Moore Park, Ringsend on May 8 last.

Mooney was charged last May with membership of the IRA and with the unlawful possession of an improvised explosive device.

A book of evidence was served on Mooney and he was remanded on continuing bail until January, when his case will be mentioned again.
