Investigation continues into Laois canal drowning

A Garda investigation is continuing into how a woman drowned in the Grand Canal in Co Laois over the weekend.

The woman's body was taken from the water near Vickerstown shortly after 7pm on Saturday night and initial post mortem results have confirmed the cause of death as drowning.
