Martin visits Georgia to assess security situation
Foreign Affairs Minister Micheal Martin is visiting Georgia today to assess the situation following the recent conflict in the country.
The trip comes as representatives from Russia and Georgia continue discussions in Geneva to try to defuse tensions after their five-day conflict over South Ossetia in August.
Mr Martin is due to meet the country's political leaders, as well as a number of other groups, to assess the humanitarian and security situation on the ground.
