Crisis talks held to avert Aer Lingus strike

Crisis talks will be held between Aer Lingus and SIPTU trade union today in a bid to advert strike action that could affect thousands of Christmas passengers.

Both sides have agreed to attend the Labour Relations Commission (LRC) as the dispute over the carrier’s multi-million euro cost-cutting plan escalates.
