Pipe bomb explodes beneath car in north Belfast

Police in the North are examining potential motives for a pipe-bomb blast in the New Lodge area of north Belfast early this morning.

The device exploded beneath an unoccupied car on the Antrim Road just after midnight.

No damage was caused and there are no reports of any injuries.
