UCD students protest over fees re-introduction

Students at University College Dublin will attempt to blockade a Government minister from the campus this evening in protest at the proposed re-introduction of third-level fees.

Campaign group Free Education for Everyone says it will try to stop Minister of State Conor Lenihan from speaking at a debate on the campus this evening.

It says the demonstration is also to express anger at the €600 increase in annual college registration fees announced in the Budget.
