Police in the North are investigating a suspicious fire that caused extensive damage to a GAA clubhouse in Co Tyrone this morning.

Police in the North are investigating a suspicious fire that caused extensive damage to a GAA clubhouse in Co Tyrone this morning.

The blaze broke out at around 4.30am at the premises on Convent Road in Cookstown.

The cause is unknown, but the PSNI is treating the case as suspicious.

On Saturday, another Co Tyrone GAA club - St Malachy's in Edendork - was also significantly damaged in a suspected arson attack.
