ICTU seeks talks to avert Aer Lingus strike

The Irish Congress of Trade Unions is to make contact with the other social partners and relevant government departments in an attempt to avert potential industrial action at Aer Lingus.

SIPTU members are balloting for strike action over the airline's plans to shed up to 1,500 jobs as part of a €74m cost-cutting programme.
