Barack's supporters in Ireland celebrate his win
Irish and American supporters of Barack Obama are celebrating their candidate's election as President of the United States.
At one party, in Dublin's Café en Seine, the crowd erupted when word came through of Obama's election. Revellers were clapping, cheering and hugging each other.
One woman said: "This is very important - America just wants to go forward in a spirit of unity."
The celebrations in the Dawson St café are due to continue until 5am.
