DHL Express to cut 30 jobs
DHL Express confirmed that it expects to make 30 of its employees around the country redundant as a result of a cost-cutting plan.
The delivery and logistics company, which employs approximately 750 people in Ireland, blamed the need for a restructuring plan on the economic downturn.
Its service centre in Letterkenny will certainly close with the loss of 11 jobs. The other job losses will take place at as-yet unspecified locations.
DHL said today it was in talks with employees on the job cuts.
