Trial of man accusing of soliciting muder is postponed

The start of the trial of Eamon Tuohy, who is accused of soliciting a man to murder another man, has been postponed until tomorrow morning.

Eamon Tuohy has pleaded not guilty to soliciting David Coleman to murder Joe Gallagher Junior in Navan, Co Meath on a date unknown between June 1 and September 30, 2004.

The prosecution has told the court that Mr Tuohy “blamed” a number of people for the drowning of his son, including Joe Gallagher Junior.

Mr Justice Barry White told the jury today that there is “a legal issue which requires resolution” and asked them to return tomorrow morning, when the trial will commence.
