Children at a Co Down school are returning to classes this morning following the end of a three-week strike by teachers.

Staff at Movilla High School in Newtownards had taken industrial action as part of a dispute over a pupil who had assaulted a teacher.

The teachers were told their pay would be docked after they refused to teach the pupil in question.

They agreed to end their strike as part of a deal that will see an independent expert assess the child's educational needs.
