Biker seriously injured in crash

A motorcyclist is in a critical condition in hospital following a crash in Dublin.

The accident happened when the man's bike hit a traffic island on the Nangor road at Fonthill at around 11am this morning.

He was taken to Tallaght Hospital where it is understood he has undergone major surgery.
