The Irish Farmers Association is holding the first in a series of public meetings tonight to discuss its concerns cutbacks announced in last week's Budget.

The association says 60,000 livestock farmers on low incomes will be hit by cuts in disadvantaged-areas payments and the suckler welfare scheme.
