Ireland's largest trade union is warning that the new income levy announced by Finance Minister Brian Lenihan yesterday could scupper the national pay deal.

Mr Lenihan's Budget includes a 1% levy on all gross incomes under €100,100 and a 2% levy on all earnings above that threshold.
