Lenihan vows to follow up on public-sector staff cuts

Finance Minister Brian Lenihan is promising to follow up on commitments he made in yesterday's Budget to tackle public-sector over-staffing.

Yesterday's Budget did not include any details of a mooted redundancy or early-retirement package in the public sector.
