Tutty given energy role

Michael Tutty was today apponted as the new chairperson of the Commission for Energy Regulation (CER).

Michael Tutty was today appointed as the new chairperson of the Commission for Energy Regulation (CER).

Commenting on the appointment, Energy Minister Eamon Ryan said: "The CER will face an extremely challenging work plan over the coming years as they work with the department and with industry to deliver a sustainable and competitive future for our energy sector.

"Michael's experience and expertise mean that he is the right person to lead as chairperson in facing these challenges and I look forward to working with him over the coming months."

Tutty replaces Tom Reeves, who had served in that role since the Commission's establishment.
