Pupils sent home as Co Down strike action continues
Hundreds of school students in Co Down have been sent home for a second day running due to a dispute over a pupil who allegedly assaulted a teacher.
A number of staff members at Movilla High School in Newtownards have gone on strike after management rejected their refusal to continue teaching the pupil in question.
They claim their pay has been docked as a result of their stance.
The South Eastern Education Board has supported the school's decision not to expel the child.
