UUP cancels conference amid talk of split over Tory link-up
The Ulster Unionists postponed their annual conference today amidst speculation that the party is split over proposals to link up with the British Conservatives.
The conference had been due at the end of next month.
The planned merger with the Tories, masterminded by former UUP leader David Trimble - appears to have run into difficulties.
Party sources blamed logistics for the postponement of the conference.
