Heroin and cannabis with an estimated street value of €200,000 has been seized, gardaí said today.

Officers in Ballyfermot in Dublin arrested two men while on routine mountain bike patrol on Rossmore Road and seized a kilo of heroin and a quantity of cannabis resin at about 9.30pm last night.

One man aged in his mid 20s and an 18-year-old are being detained at Ballyfermot garda station under Section 2 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.
