Stash of guns seized in Belfast

Two people were arrested when a stash of guns and a large sum of cash were seized.

The 40-year-old man and 47-year-old woman were detained at a house in the Antrim Road area of north Belfast during a search operation last night.

The planned search at Baltic Avenue uncovered a number of firearms, a quantity of ammunition and a large sum of cash, said a Police Service of Northern Ireland spokeswoman.
