Several shots fired at family home in Clare

Gardaí in Co Clare are investigating a gun attack on a house in the county in the early hours of this morning.

Several shots were fired at the house in Clonlara, close to the Limerick border, just after 1.30am.

The family who live there were asleep at the time and nobody was injured in the incident.

Meanwhile, Gardaí in Co Offaly are also investigating a shooting incident at a house in Birr in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Two shots were fired at the house in Scurragh, one of which went through the sitting-room window.

Four young children and three adults were inside at the time, but nobody was injured.
