Today's scheduled meeting of the North's power-sharing Executive is virtually certain to be cancelled due to the ongoing row between Sinn Fein and the DUP over the devolution of policing powers.

The two parties have failed to resolve the impasse and tomorrow's planned meeting of the North-South Minister Council is also expected to be called off as a result.
