51% of women know someone with breast cancer

More than half of Irish women have a friend or family member who has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

A new survey commissioned by the Marie Keating Foundation revealed that 51% of women and nearly one third of men knew someone who had been diagnosed with the disease.
