Primary schools seek increase in Budget funds

The boards of management in Ireland's primary schools are calling on the government not to cut spending in the sector in next month's Budget.

The organisations say an increase in funding is actually needed to maintain existing service levels, cope with rising pupil numbers and make up for long-running shortfalls.
