Gardaí identify man found dead in west Dublin

Gardaí in Dublin have identified the man found stabbed to death near Palmerstown in the west of the city late last week.

The victim, who was in his 30s, was from the Cabra area, but Gardaí say they will not be releasing his name until all family members have been informed.

His body was found on Mill Lane on Friday afternoon with multiple stab wounds.

Detectives had made a number of public appeals in an effort to identify him and released a photograph of his face yesterday in a bid to push forward their investigation.

Gardaí say they are still trying to establish whether the man died on Mill Lane or whether his body had been dumped there.
