Man dies in Clare crash

A 70-year-old man has been killed in a road crash in Co Clare.

The collision between a car and a jeep happened at the junction of O' Callaghan Mills Road and the Scarrif to Ennis Road in Tulla at around 11.30pm last night.

The man was pronounced dead on arrival at Ennis Regional Hospital.

The man who was driving the jeep was not injured.

The scene has been examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and the road has reopened.
