Seagate Technology plant to close in Derry today
Almost 1,000 workers are set to lose their jobs in the North as a US computer firm closes its plant in Limavaday today.
Seagate Technology has brought forward the closure by six weeks, but workers will be paid until the end of next month.
The company is moving the Limavady operation to Malaysia to reduce wage costs.
Its other plant in the Springtown area of Derry is being retained.
