Lenihan hints at public-service redundancy plan

Finance Minister Brian Lenihan has revealed that civil and public servants could be offered redundancy as the Government continues to impose a range of spending cutbacks.

Mr Lenihan made the suggestion during a Dáil debate on the economy last night.
